A new type of travel pass for tourists, the Climate Card, will be launched in July 2023. This unlimited travel pass provides unlimited access to the city's metro, buses, and bike rentals for a specified period. It is a great opportunity for tourists to travel around the city in an environmentally friendly and cost-effective way.
Here are the prices for the Climate Card:
- One day: 5,000 won ($3.70)
- Two days: 8,000 won ($5.90)
- Three days: 10,000 won ($7.35)
- Five days: 15,000 won ($11.00)
Climate Cards can be purchased at tourist centers in Seoul Tourism Plaza and Myeongdong, as well as at passenger safety offices in subway stations on lines 1 through 8.
The pass does not cover trips to/from the airport. However, the Climate Card includes a 50% discount on tickets to major Seoul attractions such as Grand Park and the Seoul Science Center. This makes it incredibly beneficial for those who want to make the most of their time in the city.
